From speaking with customer service, they didn't actually discontinue the product in Canada. Instead, it is the major box stores that stopped carrying them because they don't move enough to make money. Butler gum is accommodating the customers up here by allowing credit card purchases of $17~18 for 36 refill tips (I am under the impression that this includes delivery). I should also bother my dentist to see if they have them. Though frankly I think it is far more convenient to simply purchase them from Butler Gum, just to avoid another trip plus parking. The route of getting them from the dentist, however, has the advantage of forcing me to see my dentist, which I haven't done recently simply because I haven't had time yet to sit down and figure out how my health plan works. |

I guess I could always take the jump onto the glucose-amine bandwagon, but that's something I'd like to buy up-close-and-personal. I thank you for making me aware of the option, and will give it due consideration. |

| In Canada, they also don't sell the stimulator tip refills any longer in a smaller pack (it used to be a package of 5). I found this out when I went to order some. Instead, they sell a package of 40 (I think, but could be a different quantity, but its over 25 for sure) with each individually packaged. Not sure if any retail store would carry it given its larger quantity. As an alternative, many Butler toothbrushes come with a stimulator tip at the opposite end of the bristles. You can try to look for one of these at your local store. J Suljak DDS |

It's too bad that one has to go online though. I'm not much into online transactions, though it might be necessary in this case . The delivery cost will also overwhelm thepurchase. But it's good to see that Butler Gum themselves haven't discontinued the product, as claimed by one of the big store outlits that inquired about getting them on my behalf. Perhaps they are getting different messages from the vendors, depending on the route for accessing the product. |

I buy a lot of stuff online because I am tired of shopping around for stuff that stores don't carry any more. Ora |

| Butler Gum seems to be no longer making their Gum Stimulator Refills, bar code 70942 0061 (601 on upper right corner of package). No longer carried by any stores that I can find (pharmacies, big chain stores, etc.) Butler Gum also has not responded to emails. It's hard for me to play phone tag with them during office hours, so I'm hoping that other gum stimulator users have found suitable substitutes. Have any emerged? |
