How do you explain that ?

Default why is there inflammation when taking off healing abutments?

Every time I take off a healing abutment I see very red or cherry red
inflammation around the implant circumference. I also sometimes see
this under the pontic of 3 unit bridges.

I recently took off a healing cap placed almost 2 years and it was
there. It doesn't extend too far, but I wonder if all implants have
this chronic inflammation.

David DiBenedetto, DMD.
