| What always "gets me" is that people could have orthodontics for half or a third the cost of veneers, yet they come looking for veneers to solve alignment problems. | Not a simple job (imo). Yes the size of the upper cuspid is an issue trying to make it look more like a lateral incisor. Root canals may or may not be an issue. The upper left lateral will end up quite thick to make it look 'straight' with the other teeth. Cross bite on the right side? Clenching? IMO, orthodontic treatment would be the first choice with perhaps an implant for the upper right lateral afterwards (temp tooth on a retainer would buy you time financially before the implant). Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you get less. | I'm 25 and I want to get veneers on my upper 6 front teeth (thats all I can afford now...) - My teeth are pretty crooked and I'm also missing the 2nd front tooth (the 3rd grew into its placed..) - is that going to be a problem for veneers because the 3rd tooth is much thicker? I also had a root canal on my 2 front teeth (the yellower ones) - is that a problem for veneers as well? What are your opinions on my teeth now? What would you do if you were me? Any other options for me besides veneers that wont take a long time??? PICTURES HERE: http://www.flickr.com/photos/34361834[at]N02/ |
