No that is very serious business ....... it involves the federal
government as the delivery is trafficing in interstate commerce.

Which kind of illegal alien ... you did not specify ...... Roswell
Park type of Mexico type?

JOEL

PS- Got any tips for free bar food or internet connections? I think
its fascinating to live a country where some people PAY for everything
while others PAY for nothing!

That's my point! The people who need it can't find it, generally.

Enron does not need tax breaks ... OH WAIT. Now they do!

It's hard to believe that you spent 2 years as a detainee for the old
revenge trick of subscribing someone to multiple magazine subscriptions
haha You're in law enforcement and you're not smart enough to keep your
mouth shut? hahaha How else can they prove this unless you confessed to it?
LOL

It's hard to sue State or local governments because they're protected by the
doctrine of Sovereign Immunity modified in most places to the Tort Claim
Act. You usually have to file a Notice Of Intent to sue within a certain
amount of time (60 days) and other nonsense and there are max limits on
compensation and pain and suffering.

Hey just file it in Federal Court pursuant to 42 USC 1983 for violation of
your civil rights eg. 8th Amendment -cruel and unusual punishment and
include malpractise, mental anguish etc etc along with it.

Question for dentists

Please read the following and e-mail your answers to me at:
lawsuitjoe[at]aol.com

thank you

I am inquiring if it is appropriate to place a patient under an
antibiotic as a precursor to pulling a tooth, and if it is an act of
malpractice for a dentist to fail to pull a tooth after doing so,
based on the following:

NOPE, not malpractice. It is standard of care, depending on what the
dentist found.

I am a former law-enforcement officer who was arrested for allegedly
harrassing another law-enforcement officer by having magazine
subscriptions sent to her home as retaliation for her making lesbian
advances towards my girlfriend.

PLEASE tell us which magazines and for how the subscriptions were to
run.

I was held in the county jail for nearly 2 years waiting to go to
trial. I was acquitted at a jury trial and released. A few months
after I was put in jail, I began having a problem with a wisdom tooth.
The jail doctor, an osteopath, came to the jail every wednesday. He
examined my tooth, stated that I have a cavity, and ordered me to be
taken to a local dentist to have it pulled.

FINE with me so far.

A few days later the jail officials took me to the dentist. The
dentist stated that he was going to pull the tooth, but that he wanted
me on antibiotics for 2 weeks prior to doing so. The dentist also
stated that he could see that the tooth was beginning to rot and was
biting into my inner cheek.

I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks, but they did not take me back to the
dentist. I then made several written requests to the jail medical
staff regarding the tooth. The jail doctor stated that he would have a
nurse follow up on the matter. The jail medical staff apparently
failed to do so, and the tooth was never pulled. Despite the fact I
was found not guilty, I was held for nearly 2 years as a pre-trial
unconvicted detainee.

THAT is a beef you have with your District Attorney. Do you have an
attorney? I presume you do.

I was recently released, and my wisdom tooth is now sore 24 hours a
day. My gums are sometimes swollen, and I often have throbbing pain.
The tooth is rotting badly.

CALL a dentist already ......

I was never a person who believed in filing lawsuits, but under the
circumstances I feel that I must do so. I have the following questions
for dental professionals regarding this situation:

What should I do to preserve the evidence? I thought I should go to a
local dentist, apprise him of the situation, and have him pull the
tooth and place it in an evidence bag.

Won't help. You have NO RIGHT to wisdom tooth removal, as far as I
know .......

Should the dentist keep the tooth in his possession until it is
needed for the civil litigation?

Should I have the dentist make a written statement as to the
condition of the tooth, to use as evidence in litigation?

THAT seems better ,,,,,,,,,, but does not verify what was present at
the time of the original decision ......

What is the average price I should expect to pay a dentist to pull
this bad tooth?

Varies .... fifty bucks to three hundred bucks ....... sometimes more!

Why did the previous dentist prescribe an antibiotic for 2 weeks,
instead of just pulling the tooth?

To me it sounds like he did not want the hassle .....

Does this appear to be an act of malpractice on the part of the
previous dentist, or the jail medical staff?

Neiuther ......... try the organization that you believe DENIED you
proper medical care ........ would that be the Sheriff's Department or
whoever is in charge of the local holding jail.

Does this type of thing commonly occur in the field of dentistry?

I welcome any suggestions.

Welcome.

You appear to always be a gentleman .,.......
