Good question. Complicating the answer is that all porcelains are not
of equal hardness.
My uninformed guess is that it is probably fine. The big problem is
putting porcelain against gold, which will quickly chew up the gold.

Default Dental bridge materials

How important is to have all bridges made from same material? My
relative has two bridges made as MFP (metal fused to pocelain) in the
lower jaw and plans to have another two done in the upper jaw from
zirconium oxide (LAVA system by 3M). Are these two systems compatible?
I am particulary interested in different levels of hardness as a
possible issue.
